Our Host Families..

UKguests have a range of host families who are ready to make their home yours and offer a variety of accommodation to suit your individual needs.

We can verify that all of our host family homes have been checked by our accommodation officers to ensure they meet our high standards and comply with Bed & Breakfast Homestay Association standards. Our host family homes are monitored on a regular basis by UKguests to ensure our high standards and quality of service are maintained.

The majority of our host families are situated in residential areas of London which are located in Zones 2, 3 & 4 and are near to an underground/British Rail Station. We also offer executive homestay accommodation in Zone1 (which is subject to availability at the time of booking).

What should you expect from our host families?

  • Open communication, support and sound advice
  • To be treated as part of the family
  • A clean bedroom in good decorative order, which will be cleaned on a weekly basis
  • An adequate furnished room with wardrobe space
  • Sufficient lighting, a mirror, desk/small table and a comfortable chair
  • Adequate heating
  • Facilities for a daily shower or bath
  • Access to washing & Ironing facilities on a weekly basis
  • Internet access (dependent on availability)
  • On arrival to your host family home, a tour of your local area i.e. Bus routes, Underground/ British Rail stations, local shops & amenities.
  • An emergency family contact number

What should the host family expect from you? 

  • A courtesy call to advise your host family of your arrival time at their home
  • Exceptional manners e.g. Good Morning, Good Afternoon, Good Evening, Thank you etc.
  • Respecting your host family home and adherence to any house rules
  • Notify the family if you are going to be late home or staying overnight with friends (to avoid unnecessary worry to your host family)
  • Ask you family permission before inviting visitors into you family home
  • Ask your family permission if you need to use their address for any purpose
