Booking with UKguests is very easy. Read the information below to find out how to get started.

How to book your homestay

  1. Please complete the guest application form to reserve your accommodation.
  2. All questions marked with * are compulsory and must be filled in.
  3. Once we have received your booking form, we will send you an email to confirm that your application has been received.
  4. Our accommodation team will email you with an offer of accommodation. We will aim to do this within two working days of receipt of your application.
  5. The profile we send you will have factual information about the hosts and may include some photos of their home.
  6. We will then ask if you would like to book the homestay accommodation offered.
  7. Please reply to us within 72 hours as homestay accommodation availability may change on a daily basis.
  8. If you choose to reserve the accommodation, we will send you an invoice with details on how to make the payment.
  9. We will also ask you to send us:

    - A copy of your passport photo ID page or ID card, and your visa (do not send original documents)
    - A copy of an acceptance letter from your place of study/work here in London
  10. Once your payment has been received, you will be sent a confirmation of your booking with your accommodation details.
  11. You can then contact your hosts!

Homestay bookings are only confirmed on receipt of full payment.

Please remember to be flexible when you apply (for example, when choosing whether to live with children, pets, or hosts who smoke), as we may be able to offer you more than one option.

We advise you to read the information below before completing the homestay application form:

How to pay

All payments from abroad must be made in UK pounds sterling (GBP) as all our payments are invoiced in UK pounds sterling. Payment can be made via bank transfer.

Payment for accommodation and transfers must be received at least two weeks prior to your arrival date.

All payments must be made to UKguests directly.

All bank charges must be paid by you. To pay by bank transfer, please add £12 to your payment to cover bank charges to the UK.

UKguests will not pay for any bank charges. This also applies to any refunds payable to you. Refunds will be made in the same method that the payment was received and will be at UKguests' discretion.

I think that it is a good idea that international students live in a British family when they come to England. In this way, students can learn English more easily and practise it all the time.
