"I started hosting students a few years ago and i really didn't know what I was taking on. Many years on and I would say to anyone that the experience is wonderful. Taking on students from all different cultures to share your home life with and treating them as part of your family, makes me feel a sense of needing and for the students, they feel welcome and relaxed. I have still maintained a good relationship with the students after they have returned back to their families.

I would personally recommend anyone thinking about hosting for the first time, just take the plunge, you would love it, learning about different cultures, and them learning about you too.
