Meal plans explained

Depending on the category you have chosen, you can expect the following meal plan from your host.

BB Bed and breakfast

Bed Breakfast With a bed and breakfast meal plan you will be provided with a continental-style breakfast, which may include the following:

A bowl of cereal, fruit juice, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, toast, a croissant and use of the kitchen to make light refreshments (usually the use of the microwave but not the use of the oven/cooker)

HB Half board

half board With a half board meal plan you will be provided with a continental-style breakfast (as above) and a cooked evening meal, which will be eaten with your hosts.

The cooked meal may include meat or fish with pasta, potatoes or rice, and vegetables or a salad. You will also be provided with a dessert, which may be hot or cold.

FB Full board

Full Board With a full board meal plan you will be provided with a continental-style breakfast, an evening meal (as above) and a lunch, which will be a packed lunch from Monday to Friday. The packed lunch may include sandwiches, fruit juice or water, a piece of fruit and a packet of crisps.

SC Self-catering

self-catering If you have chosen self-catering as your meal plan, you will be allocated storage space in the kitchen and refrigerator to allow you to store your personal food and drink items. You will also have a set time to use the kitchen to prepare and eat your daily meals.
