Safety in the home

UKguests have a duty of care to ensure that all students/guests placed in our homestay accommodation are safe. All homestay accommodation must comply with current law regarding the accommodation of paying guests. It is a legal requirement to have an up-to-date Gas Safety certificate, and that a Gas Safe engineer services your gas boiler, hob and gas fires once a year. It is also a legal requirement to conduct a fire safety risk assessment.

During the inspection visit to your home, UKguests will take some photographs of the guest rooms and communal areas of your home, including the bathroom, kitchen and living room. If you are accepted as a homestay host, we may ask your permission to use some of the photos taken for our website and brochures in order to show the variety of accommodation we offer. The photos will in no way be connected to your home address or any personal details.
